At least 20 police officers in Troy, Michigan, have been disciplined after reportedly stealing snacks from the Troy Fire Department.
The officers were hit with write-ups after they reportedly took the food from the fire department’s locked snack pantry. They were caught on camera picking the lock to the pantry using their credit cards.
Troy police say that historically they have been allowed to use the food and bathrooms at the volunteer fire station, but the officers that went for the locked food went too far in using that hospitality. The food had been recently locked up due to a change in policy, but when the supply continued to go down, an internal investigation was launched.
