“Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek has announced that he has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. 

Trebek announced the diagnosis in a video message. The legendary game show host will reportedly immediately begin chemotherapy. Trebek says he plans to continue working on “Jeopardy!” and believes that he will beat the cancer. 

Trebek has hosted the show since 1984. He took a brief medical leave in 2018 to have surgery on blood clots on his brain after a fall, but still remained host. He also suffered from mild heart attacks in 2007 and 2012.
