Janice Freeman, a contestant on The Voice in season 13, died on Saturday at the age of 33. Freeman’s team posted on her Instagram that the cause of death was pneumonia and a blood clot that had traveled to her heart. Freeman had numerous health issues including cervical cancer, lupus and meningitis.

Freeman was reportedly at home with her husband on Saturday when she started complaining that she was having trouble breathing. He called 911 and did CPR on Freeman until the paramedics arrived. She was pronounced dead at the hospital at 5:30 p.m.
