BREAKING: State of Emergency Declared in Several California Counties

California Governor Gavin Newsom has declared a State of Emergency in 5 counties due to extreme flooding.

The announcement comes after a local emergency was declared around the Russian River in Sonoma County yesterday. Extreme flooding and heavy rainfalls in the northern part of the state have led to extremely hazardous conditions, with at least one death reported.

Amador, Glenn, Lake, Mendocino and Sonoma counties are under the declaration.
