Legendary San Francisco Giants manager Bruce Bochy has announced that he will retire after the conclusion of the 2019 MLB season.
Bochy, who has led the Giants to three World Series titles in his tenure there, announced the decision during a season-opening speech as Spring Training was ready to begin Monday for the team.
The upcoming season was Bochy’s last year on his contract. Bochy enters his final season 11th all-time with 1,926 wins in addition to the three World Series rings. He spent the first 12 seasons of his managerial career in San Diego, leading the franchise to the postseason four times, before coming to San Francisco in 2006.
