Multiple West Virginia Firefighters Arrested for Allegedly Setting Fires

Five firefighters have been arrested in West Virginia for allegedly setting fires that they could then put out.

The fires reportedly took place between December of 2017 and February 18th of 2018. All of the firefighters admitted to starting the fires, which caused significant damage to some structures, so that they could respond to them as firefighters.

Charles Weybrecht “Chase” Peoples, 20, is charged with second-degree arson, Brett Allen Ray, 20, is charged with first-degree arson, Glenn Fletcher Harman, 20, is charged with second-degree arson, Travis Michael Bailey, 28, is charged with first-degree arson, and Ian Hockenberry, 21, is charged with first-degree arson.
