A Florida man that was pulled over for speeding reportedly justified his actions by saying that he was “thirsty” for a Pepsi.
Matthew Anzaldi, 25, was reportedly driving recklessly at around 80 mph on U.S. 1. He then told the deputy that he was driving erratically because he was “thirsty” and thought he heard bullets hitting his car. He did not appear to be impaired at the time.
Anzaldi had actually been pulled over for speeding only an hour earlier. He has since been booked into the Indian River County Jail.
