Pharmaceutical Executive Reportedly Gave Doctor a Lap Dance While Promoting Fentanyl Spray

An ex-stripper would later became a sales executive for Insys Therapeutics reportedly gave a doctor a lap dance while promoting their fentanyl spray.

The incident was detailed by a witness during court proceedings in the first criminal trial of painkiller manufacturer executives. Former Insys sales representative Holly Brown told jurors the incident with her boss, Sunrise Lee, took place after Insys began rewarding the doctor for prescribing its opioid product by paying him to speak at educational events about the drug.

The FDA has only approved the spray for treating pains from cancer, but doctors reportedly began prescribing it to a variety of people, which prosecutors say heavily contributed to the opioid epidemic.
