At least 21 people have died and 71 others have been injured after two bombs exploded outside a Catholic cathedral in the Philippines, according to the Associated Press.

The first bomb went off in or near the cathedral, while the second went off outside the compound as authorities were responding to the attack.

Military officials and civilians are among the injured. Nobody has claimed responsibility for the attack.
