A family from Detroit returning home from a Miami vacation told a local news station they were kicked off an American Airlines flight because other passengers had complained about their body odor.
The family denied that it was justified. “There’s no body odor that we have,” Yossi Adler told a Miami TV station, “There’s nothing wrong with us.” Adler said that a flight attendant told the family some people had complained about their body odor and they were not eligible to return to the flight.
American Airlines said in a statement, “Mr. Adler and his wife were removed from the flight when several passengers complained about their body odor. They have been booked into a hotel for the night and given meal vouchers. They have been rebooked on a flight Thursday.”
