Man Gets High on Embalming Fluid, Threatens to “Kill Entire Family,” Leads Police on Chase with Kids in Car

A man in Gary, Indiana, was arrested after he got high on embalming fluid and led police on a dangerous chase with children in his car.

Alvin Brooks, 43, reportedly was high on embalming fluid when he took his children into the family car and started to drive recklessly. Police were called, and when they tried to pull him over, he decided to lead them on a chase, all the while with the three children in the back seat.

Eventually the car came to a stop and police were able to wrestle Brooks out of the vehicle. Brooks then told police that he “just wanted to kill everyone,” and that he “might as well die running.” He was charged with three counts of kidnapping, criminal recklessness, resisting law enforcement and auto theft.
