UPDATE: NBC New York reports that the drones are no longer in the airspace and flights have resumed, but a ground stop remains for flights from other airports until the backlog of flights can be cleared.
Arrivals into Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey are delayed due to nearby drone activity.
It is not clear if authorities have determined where the drone activity is coming from. The airport has not given a timetable for when regular flight activity could be resumed.
ABC News reports that a ground stop has been ordered at the airport. The drones were reportedly found around 3500 feet in the air in the arrivals path.
