Thief Steals $1,000 from Girl Scouts Selling Cookies at New Jersey Mall

A thief reportedly stole $1,000 in Girl Scout cookie money from a group of children working to sell the cookies at a New Jersey mall.

Police say that $500 in cash were stolen, with the rest coming in the form of checks. The money was reportedly in a bank envelope that had been left unattended.

Mall surveillance appears to show a man taking the envelope as he walked next to an elderly woman using a walker. He appeared to be disguised and police have not been able to provide any clearer description.
