All charges have been dropped against a man who was accused of sexually assaulting a beaver in Washington last September.
Richard Delp, 35, was arrested on charges of felony animal cruelty and possession of methamphetamine after he was found next to the animal with his pants down. The woman that found the scene had originally seen the beaver after it was hit by a car.
She had left to get supplies to help the animal, but found the man beside it when she returned. Delp admitted to committing the sexual act.
In court, his lawyer requested a mental health evaluation, which showed that he was incompetent to stand trial and is not likely to ever be restored to a point where he could. The state of Washington then dropped their charges, pursuant to Delp getting help.
