Ohio Police Investigating After They Find Drugs in a Box Named “Not Dope” in Library

Police in Ironton, Ohio, are investigating after they found a box labeled “not dope” in a library that did, in fact, contain drugs.

Officers say that they found the box with a loaded syringe and methamphetamine inside. The owner of the box is not known at this time.

Police, in a Facebook post showing the box, said the following:

Today Ironton officers recovered this curious item from inside the library here in town.

On first appearance one would obviously think this was anything other than a container of illegal drugs. The unknown owner (as of now at least) had the brilliant idea to write “Not Dope” on the cover of the container, as if this would throw off law enforcement in the event their stash was discovered.

Upon opening the box it was quickly evident that the owner must have confused his boxes. A loaded syringe and meth was found inside.
