Over 11,000 pounds of Zeigler Red Hots sausages have been recalled after concerns arose that they may contain metal.
Alabama-based R. L. Zeigler Co. Inc. shipped the sausages nationwide, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service. “Zeigler A Tradition of Great Taste Red Hots” and “Extra Hot Zeigler A Tradition of Great Taste Red Hots,” both in 24 ounce packages, were recalled.
The sausages were produced November 29 and have the establishment number EST. P-9156S, which can be found on the USDA inspection mark on the packaging.
