Norman Gimbel, the writer of theme songs for such television shows as “Happy Days” and “Laverne & Shirley,” as well as songs like Roberta Flack’s “Killing Me Softly with His Song” and Jim Croce’s “I Got a Name,” has died at his home in Montecito, California, at the age of 91, according to Variety.
