A groomsman in Key West, Florida, was taken to the hospital after he reportedly accidentally stabbed the groom after the group had been drinking.
The man, Jovanny Arredondo, 29, of Scottsdale, Arizona, was reportedly playing with a double-edged knife after taking shots with a group of fellow groomsmen. When the groom asked him to stop, Arredondo started to fake stab at him, eventually accidentally stabbing him in the thigh.
Arredondo then panicked, running around and jumping off the restaurant balcony, suffering a head injury. He was later found by police and airlifted to the hospital.
The groom told police that he does not want them to press charges, but they say he could still face charges for criminal mischief and disorderly conduct, as well as improper exhibition of weapon.
He also reportedly caused over $1,000 worth of damage to the restaurant. The wedding reception was called off after the stabbing.
