A Missouri man who was convicted of poaching has been sentenced to one year in jail along with the condition that he watches “Bambi” at least once a month.
David Berry Jr. was one of three men accused of poaching over several hundred deer over the course of three years. As part of his sentence, Berry Jr. “is to view the Walt Disney movie Bambi, with the first viewing being on or before Dec. 23, and at least one such viewing each month thereafter.”
The three men would reportedly take the heads off of deer illegally, leaving the rest of the corpse to rot. Berry Jr. and his father have had their hunting, fishing and trapping privileges permanently revoked, while Eric Berry had his privileges rescinded for 18 years.
