A Michigan mom of three drowned in a freezing pond while trying to save her dog after the animal fell through the ice, police said.
Tracy Cashman, 38, disappeared Saturday night after taking her Goldendoodle Lola out for a walk in the town of Wyoming about 8:30 p.m. The wet dog returned to the family’s home a short time later, but Cashman was missing, ABC 13 reported. Emergency workers found the missing woman’s body in a pond at Battjes Park early Sunday. She was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy was scheduled for Monday morning to confirm Cashman’s cause of death.
