BREAKING: CDC Warns Consumers to Not Eat Any Romaine Lettuce Amid Outbreak Concerns

The CDC has issued a warning to avoid all romaine lettuce due to concerns over E. coli infections.

The infections appear to be linked to romaine lettuce, and the CDC is urging all of the lettuce be thrown away and not consumed until they can better pinpoint the outbreak’s source. Health Canada has joined with the CDC in advising people to avoid romaine lettuce entirely.

This includes all types or uses of romaine lettuce, such as whole heads of romaine, hearts of romaine, and bags and boxes of precut lettuce and salad mixes that contain romaine, including baby romaine, spring mix, and Caesar salad. 32 people have been infected with the outbreak strain of Shiga toxin-producing E. coli across 11 states
