Suspicious devices have been sent to multiple Democrats, including former President Barack Obama, former President and First Lady Bill and Hillary Clinton, former CIA Director John Brennan and former Attorney General Eric Holder, according to multiple reports and officials. New York Gov. Cuomo says a device has also been sent to his offices.
The device addressed to Brennan was sent to CNN. New York City officials said that package contained a live explosive device, as well as an envelope with white powder. The CNN package was reportedly delivered by a courier.
Another device sent to a building in San Diego that houses a newspaper, as well as U.S. Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA), did not contain an explosive device.
The device sent to Holder included a return address of Rep. Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), and it was sent back to her office.
The mailings occurred just two days after an explosive device was sent to high-profile Democratic donor George Soros.
A suspicious package was reportedly also found at a Congressional mail screening facility in Maryland. The bomb squad is investigating, according to CNN. The package was addressed to Rep. Maxine Waters, according to ABC News.
The package found at Gov. Cuomo’s office was not an explosive device.
A suspicious package is also being investigated at Rep. Wasserman Schultz’s 2nd office, per NBC News.
