There are multiple reported victims after a shooting at a Kroger store in the Jeffersontown section of Louisville, Kentucky.
The suspect has been apprehended. WLKY-TV reports that police are searching for a 12-year-old that ran away in the chaos. Reports indicate that there were shots inside as well as in the parking lot, but the total number of people involved is not known.
Employees have told WLKY-TV that a person came into the store shooting, with one woman saying that she had to step over a dead body to escape before police came and locked down the building. Police have yet to confirm.
An EMT that was shopping at the time of the incident says he saw two people exchanging fire and an elderly woman was caught in-between. He attempted CPR, but says that she died, per WDRB-TV.
Police are reportedly escorting uninjured shoppers to a safe space. They are not searching for any more suspects.
