A suspected intruder has been shot by security after he tried to break into the FOX 5 building in Washington, D.C.
Police responded to WTTG FOX 5’s building after reports of the intruder. When the arrived, they found the suspect had been shot by security but was still alive. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
The security guard reportedly tried to pepper spray the intruder, but shot him when he continued to “act aggressively.” He also allegedly broke a window at the news studio.
The 38-year-old man had reportedly previously made threats against both police and the news station. He has been identified, but his name has not been released.
