Major League Baseball is reportedly under federal investigation for their international dealings.
According to Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports, a federal grand jury has launched the investigation. It seeks to look into several teams dealings in international baseball, which has expanded greatly in recent years. While specific teams or players have not been revealed, Passan noted that it appears the signing of Cuban player and former highly ranked prospect Hector Oliver is part of the investigation.
Passan noted that FBI agents and Department of Justice lawyers are involved in the grand jury investigation. So far, multiple people have reportedly agreed to cooperate with authorities.
