A 6.6-magnitude earthquake has struck 41km south of Tanaga Volcano, Alaska, according to the USGS. The earthquake struck at about 5:56 p.m. ET at a depth of about 31.6 km.

According to a statement put out by the National Weather Service’s Tsunami Warning Center, there is no tsunami danger from this earthquake. They have reached this conclusion based on earthquake information and historic tsunami levels.
