MAJOR EARTHQUAKE HITS JAPAN
At least three people have died in a powerful Japanese earthquake in Osaka, Japan, according to the Japan Times.
The earthquake, which measured a lower 6 on the Japanese seismic scale, occurred on Monday morning in the region of Osaka. It struck at a depth of about 10 km.
Reports have indicated that a 9-year-old was killed in the earthquake when a collapsing wall struck her.
An elderly man also died after being crushed by a bookshelf. Another elderly man died by after being hit by a falling wall. Hundreds of serious injuries have been reported as well.
