San Francisco Giants star Brandon Belt has undergone an emergency appendectomy after he was removed from Friday night’s game against the Philadelphia Phillies and rushed to a local hospital.
On Friday night, Andrew Baggarly, a San Francisco Giants beat writer, said Belt was being checked for possible appendicitis. The news was confirmed on Saturday that Belt had undergone the procedure and would be out of action for around three weeks.
