Miramar Fire officials if Florida received a call regarding an animal bite for a pediatric patient. When fire officials arrived, they found that the 8-month-old girl had been killed by the animal.
The girl was in the care of her grandmother at the time, according to police.
The girl’s mother could be seen crying in front of the home. She spoke about her daughter, Liana. “She was the best thing to ever happen to me,” said Brenda Villasin. “She smiled every morning. She was my world.” The dog is a spotted brown pit bull that the family has owned for 3-to-4 years was taken by animal control.
“The 8-month-old female baby was in the bedroom at the time of this horrific attack in a bouncy chair, inside a bedroom when this attack occurred,” said Yesenia Diaz with the Miramar Police Department.
