British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson has reportedly been the subject of a Russian prank call and the U.K. believes the Russian government was the culprit.
The prank callers were pretending to be the Armenian Prime Minister who Johnson congratulated on their recent election victory. Johnson went on to talk about developing UK-Armenia trade and investment links. When asked about Russia and the Salisbury poisoning, he says he is “almost 100% sure” that Mr Putin was behind the attack and that it is important to avoid a “new Cold War”.
A senior U.K. diplomat was quoted as saying, “It is tragic to see a major international power reduced to failed pranks you would usually only see on Trigger Happy TV.”
