There are reports of a Boeing 737 crashing shortly after takeoff from the José Martí International Airport in Havana.
The plane is leased by Cuban Aviation from a Mexican company, and was headed to the eastern part of Cuba. The reports are from Cuban State TV. CNN reports that there are casualties from the crash. At least 104 were onboard.
AFP reports that there are 3 survivors who are in critical condition. Reuters, citing Cuban TV, says that over 100 people are dead in the crash. The cause remains unknown.
