An Estonian tourist ended up having to take refuge in a closed restaurant overnight after he accidentally began to climb the Italian Alps.
Pavel, 30, who was drunk at the time, began to head back to his hotel room from the bar late one night. However, at some point he became disoriented, and wound up climbing up the mountain. Eventually, he stumbled upon a closed restaurant and realized that he was about 2,400 meters up on the mountain.
He then took refuge inside, where he was found in the morning. Pavel will be issued a fine, but police say that he will not be charged.
