A WestJet flight from Vancouver to Nanaimo, Canada, experienced an emergency while on approach.

The cabin and flight deck of the plane began to fill with smoke while it descended down. This prompted the crew to declare emergency, but inside of the plane no masks deployed and passengers were advised to breathe through their shirts. The plane landed without issue, but an emergency evacuation was used to clear the plane. All passengers are crew were reported safe and accounted for.

The cause of the smoke is under investigation.
