DEVELOPING: U.S. Military Helicopter Crashes in Iraq

There have likely been fatalities after a U.S. military HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter, which is a variant of the Black Hawk helicopter, crashed in western Iraq near the Syrian border, military defense officials tell CNN.

The helicopter was carrying seven personnel. The cause of the crash is currently unknown.

All seven service members aboard a U.S. military helicopter that crashed in western Iraq late Thursday were killed, according to two U.S. military officials-NBC News (Updated 9:05 a.m. ET)

Two members of the FDNY were killed in the crash. One of the men was identified as Christopher Raguso, a lieutenant. The other has been identified as a fire marshal, but their name has not been given – ABC7 in New York (2:26 p.m. ET)
