Boxer Canelo Alvarez has tested positive for a banned substance ahead of his May 5th fight, and is blaming contaminated cow meat.
The results of the test showed trace amounts of Clenbuterol, which is reportedly commonly used to cut body fat while still retaining muscle. It is banned by almost all anti-doping agencies. Alvarez meanwhile, blames the results on Mexican cows which he claims have been contaminated. He says that this has affected many Mexican athletes over the past few years.
rez went on to say that he will move from Mexico the United States for training and will undergo any further tests required.
