Joshua Thiede, an Uber and Lyft driver who had been reported missing by his family last week, was found at a Los Angeles hospital on Monday. No details on his condition were provided.
His mother said in a statement, “At this time, we do not have all the details, We are just extremely happy that he is alive. We are continuing to ask the LAPD to investigate the circumstances that landed him in the hospital.”
The 29-year-old disappeared on Feb. 11 in downtown Los Angeles. Police found his 2014 black Nissan Altima east of Hollywood on Monday afternoon.
Thiede’s mother had previously said that her son, or someone using his phone, had called 911 on Feb. 12 and then hung up.
