North Korea has announced that it will mark the “historic” occasion of the founding anniversary of its army on February 8, a day before the beginning of the Winter Olympics in South Korea, according to Yonhap.
North Korea has changed the date of the anniversary of the establishment of the Army from April 25. “Feb. 8 will be marked as the Army-Building Day,” the KCNA said.
“The Cabinet and other relevant organs will take practical steps to significantly mark the founding anniversary of the Korean People’s Army.”
