Pennsylvania Rep. Patrick Meehan, a member of the House Ethics Committee, reportedly used taxpayer money to settle a sexual harassment claim.
In a report by The New York Times, it was revealed that Meehan settled with a former staffer who has accused him of sexual harassment. The money, which has been undisclosed, was taken out of his congressional office fund. Meehan was accused of professing romantic desires to a subordinate staffer after she became involved in a relationship with someone outside the Representative’s office.
