At least 30 children have died thus far in the widespread flu season, according to new numbers released by the CDC.
The flu has now spread to every state except for Hawaii. This season, there have been over 74,000 laboratory-confirmed cases of the flu. Those numbers do not include all of the cases, as many do not see the doctor while sick. Flu is a contagious, viral illness that causes mild to severe symptoms that can sometimes lead to death.
