DEVELOPING: Former Postal Service Worker Admits to Burning Mail for Months

A federal prosecutor says that a former U.S. Postal Service worker has plead guilty to burning at least 20 tubs of mail while employed.

50-year-old Mark Wayne Thompson burned the mail over the course of 5 months. He took mail from his route in Louisiana. Thompson now faces up to 5 years in prison, as well as 3 years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine. (source) 7:53 p.m. ET January 13, 2018
