At least six people have been injured after a box truck struck a car and at least one pedestrian in San Francisco, according to officials and local media.
The incident happened at about 3:45 p.m. pacific time at Geary Avenue and 21st Avenue, according to officials.
The majority of those injured are believed to have been people inside the vehicle that was struck, although at least one pedestrian was also injured.
The San Francisco Fire Department said they transported an elderly pedestrian with life-threatening injuries, as well as a family of five in a vehicle. Authorities are investigating the cause. (source)

“San Francisco PD says truck driver ran a red light at 21st and Geary, lost control, hit two pedestrians, a parked car, then a Mazda with a family inside. Family is going to be okay but pedestrians have serious, non-life threatening injuries.”
The driver is in custody, but only speaks Cantonese (source)
