An official working for the city of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, was arrested after allegedly teasing a coworker with a shotgun for their liberal political beliefs.

The man, Denis Kearby, reportedly pumped his shotgun repeatedly. He is facing a felony charge for unlawful use of a weapon. The woman said that she was terrified, but did not tell Kearby that. “Mr. Kearbey stated he did take the firearm into the office and was teasing the clerk about being a liberal,” according to troopers, “Mr. Kearbey stated he pumped the shotgun, but never threatened anybody with it.” (source) 4:05 p.m. ET December 14, 2017
