Ford is suing WWE superstar and actor John Cena, alleging that he broke their contract by selling his 2017 Ford GT shortly after taking possession of the supercar. In his application for the car, Cena said that he would own the car for at least 2 years, which cost over $460,000.
Cena is an avid car collector, and owns a 2006 Ford GT. In the suit filed, Ford says that the actor portrayed himself as a strong Ford fan in his application, as well as the aforementioned promise of ownership. Ford alleges that by Cena selling his car, they lost years of ambassadorship for their brand. (source) 2:36 p.m. ET December 2, 2017
