The Senate has passed a motion to begin debate on the GOP tax reform bill. The vote only needed a simple majority in order to pass. No Republicans voted against the beginning of debate.
This is the next big step for the bill to be brought to a vote, and one that the GOP struggled with while bringing forth ObamaCare repeal earlier in the year. Republicans hope to have the bill to President Trump’s desk by the end of the year. (source) 6:00 p.m. ET November 29, 2017
