#BREAKING: Facebook Says 126 Million People Exposed to Russian- Influenced Political Ads Over 2 Year Period

Facebook will be informing lawmakers this week that they estimate 126 million people were exposed to content made by Russian agency over a two year period, including the 2016 election, per CNN.

The content seen was likely used to try and interfere in the election, as well as push towards more divisions in American society itself. The information was collected between June 2015 and August 2017.


  • Reuters reports Twitter also says Russian-linked accounts sent 1.4 million tweets about the 2016 election via their platform. (7:40 p.m. ET)
