LOS ANGELES (ALBOENEWS) — The University of Southern California is on lockdown after reports of possible shots fired, per a text sent to students.
The text message was sent around 12:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon due to police activity around 610 Childs Way.
Police are searching Fertitta Hall after reports of shots fired.
According to the latest reports, it doesn’t appear any victims have been located.
UPDATE: Police say no injuries have been reported and there has been no evidence of a shooting, but that police are finishing their search of Fertitta Hall. The lockdown has been lifted for the rest of campus. (4:06 p.m. ET)

KABC is reporting that the incident stemmed from a professor who has “some sort of mental episode” and yelled that there was an active shooter. (5:47 p.m. ET)
