SPRINGFIELD, ILLINOIS (ALBOENEWS) — According to AP, Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner will sign a bill expanding abortion rights in the state.

The bill, HB40, will allow women to use Medicaid or state employee health insurance to help pay for abortions. It also removes a “trigger provision” that would have made abortion illegal in the state, were Roe V. Wade to be overturned by the U.S. Supreme Court.
