HONOLULU, HAWAII (ALBOENEWS) — According to AP, the Hawaiian Land Board has approved the construction permit of a controversial telescope.
The telescope is planned to be put atop a mountain that is considered sacred to many native Hawaiians, who have fiercely argued against its construction. There have been many protests to stop telescope construction on these mountains in the past, resulting in multiple arrests.
