PYONGYANG (ALBOENEWS) — While leaving the United Nations on Monday, North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho told reporters that North Korea has “every right” to shoot down U.S. bombers, even if they are not inside North Korean airspace, according to the New York Times.
He justified these comments by saying the United States declared war on North Korea, appearing to be referencing a tweet sent out by Donald Trump saying that the country may not “be around much longer.”
The Trump administration has refuted that any declaration of war has been made.
