TOKYO (ALBOENEWS) — Japan appears to be planning a mass evacuation of nearly 60,000 Japanese citizens who are currently living or visiting in South Korea.
According to Nikkei, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said Monday that, “There is a possibility of further provocations. We need to remain extremely vigilant and do everything we can to ensure the safety of our people.”
They are analyzing a four step emergency process as a plan which is based on the severity of the situation.The plan is as follows:
- Discouraging unessential travel to South Korea,
- Discouraging all travel to South Korea,
- Urging Japanese citizens there to evacuate,
- Urging them to shelter in place.
